My Ingredients and Why I Use Them

When it comes to creating high-quality, natural products like lip balms, body balm, deodorant, sunscreen, and shampoo bars, the ingredients I choose play a vital role. Each one is carefully selected for its unique properties and benefits, ensuring that my products are both nourishing and effective. Here’s a closer look at the ingredients I use and why they matter:

  • 100% Grass-Fed Beef Tallow: This nutrient-rich ingredient is packed with vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as essential fatty acids. It closely mimics the natural oils found in human skin, making it an excellent moisturizer that deeply nourishes and protects.
  • Coconut Oil: Known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties, coconut oil helps to moisturize and protect the skin while adding a smooth texture to the products.
  • Calendula: This gentle and soothing ingredient is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and healing properties, making it ideal for sensitive or irritated skin.
  • Olive Oil: Rich in antioxidants and healthy fats, olive oil provides deep hydration and helps to maintain the skin's natural barrier, leaving it soft and supple.
  • Castor Oil: With its thick, emollient properties, castor oil is perfect for adding shine to shampoo bars, locking in moisture, and promoting healthy, nourished skin and hair.

  • Non-Nano Zinc Oxide: This mineral-based ingredient provides broad-spectrum sun protection without being absorbed into the skin, making it a safe and effective choice for sunscreen.
  • Arrowroot powder is a versatile base often used in homemade body powders, deodorants, and even face masks due to its ability to absorb moisture and leave skin feeling soft. 
  •  Essential oils for scents not only provides a refreshing fragrance but can also bring therapeutic benefits like relaxation, energy, or focus depending on the oils you choose. 
  • Clays such as bentonite, kaolin, or French green clay can enhance your products by gently detoxifying and nourishing the skin. These natural ingredients are staples in recipes because they are effective, gentle, and customizable to suit your unique needs.
